Belgravia Leisure is excited to be working in partnership with the Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara in managing Kaipātiki Hot Springs (formerly known as Parakai Springs) from 1 January 2026

Expression of Interest (EOI) portal

To submit your EOI for employment at the Kaipātiki Hot Springs venue under Belgravia Leisure click the button below. Once you have submitted your EOI please keep an eye on your email (including your junk/spam folders) for further instructions from Belgravia Leisure.

If we do not receive your expression of interest, we will consider that to mean you do not wish to join Belgravia Leisure and an offer of employment will not be made.

If you are interested in applying for a position with Belgravia Leisure, you will need to complete our expression of interest form by no later than Friday 12 December 2025 to be considered for a position. All communications relative to the recruitment process and transition information from Belgravia Leisure are only sent to people who have responded to the EOI by the due date.

B.Leisure International (NZ) LTD currently works with 10 New Zealand contract partners, managing 17 venues across the Country.

What does the appointment of Belgravia Leisure as managers of Kaipātiki Hot Springs mean to me?

Belgravia Leisure will be the new operator of Kaipātiki Hot Springs (formerly known as Parakai Springs) from 1 January 2026. The venue will continue to offer the majority of programs currently being run, and all current staff will continue with their current employment until this date.

Once Belgravia Leisure commences management of these venues, small changes will be made such as some branding and internal operating systems.

What will happen to my job?

While we are not able to give any specific guarantees, we expect the majority of staff will be made an offer of employment with Belgravia Leisure. While Belgravia Leisure manages its operations differently and we expect that most staff will be will receive an offer of employment for a role similar to your current role. Everyone is encouraged to apply for roles with Belgravia Leisure.

What is the recruitment process?

1. Expression of Interest (EOI)

Individuals wishing to apply for any position Belgravia Leisure, must complete an expression of interest by clicking the Expressions of Interest button on the top of this page. This can be completed on mobile, desktop, laptop or tablet.

Please note, an EOI is not an application. Application details will be emailed to individuals who complete an EOI by Friday, 12th December 2025

What will I be asked in the EOI?

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Your current primary position and any other position you’re trained to perform.
  • The current qualifications you hold (you will be required to supply copies at interview).
  • Any booked leave that you have coming up

Interested people should lodge their expression of interest for a position with Belgravia Leisure. Anyone who does not lodge an expression of interest will not form part of Belgravia Leisure’s staff selection process.

  1. Interviews

General listing applicants will receive an email with options to attend one of several group interviews we will hold. Scheduled group interview sessions are available on a first in first served basis. We will offer a mix of day/evening and weekday/weekend sessions to provide maximum opportunity for applicants to attend group interviews.

The process is high energy, fun and designed for us to assess the attributes we seek out for Belgravia Leisure team members.

Interviews for leadership roles will occur face to face with each shortlisted candidate.

  1. Outcomes

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their interviews via email. Successful candidates will be offered positions subject to meeting mandatory qualification requirements and pre-employment screening which includes identification documents, suitability for work checks.

  1. Onboarding

Successful applicants will receive an email invitation to complete onboarding via our online employee platform FlareHR. This includes electronically signing your employment agreement as well as reviewing and acknowledging core policies.

In accordance with our recruitment and selection policy, all recruitment at Belgravia Leisure is subject to appropriate vetting of each applicant’s skills and personal qualities and on the provision that staff hold current qualifications for the roles they perform.

Do I need to submit an expression of interest for employment at Kaipātiki Hot Springs if I am a current Belgravia Leisure employee at another facility?

Yes, even if you are a current Belgravia Leisure staff member you will need to submit your expression of interest. Though you may not need to do the complete full onboarding process. This will be communicated with the relevant staff.

Do I need to supply any documents? (does not apply to current Belgravia Leisure employees)

To be considered for a position we must confirm your working rights in New Zealand. To do this you must supply one of the following:

  1. Copy of a current Passport photo page OR;
  1. Copy of your birth certificate & current photo ID (if your name is different on your birth certificate to your photo ID, we also need a copy of your marriage or change of name certificate)

What personal qualities are Belgravia Leisure looking for in its staff members?

Does Belgravia Leisure have its own conditions for employment of staff?

Yes, we do. All staff must provide evidence of a current Police Check prior to commencing employment with Belgravia Leisure. This check must not be dated more than 30 days prior to employment commencement to ensure our requirement that the Police Check be undertaken within 30 days of commencing as an employee of Belgravia Leisure.

In addition, Belgravia Leisure team members may be required to hold First Aid and CPR qualifications depending on their role as well as the essential qualifications and/or certificates that apply to the role/s they will be undertaking as listed in the next section.

It is the responsibility of each staff member to keep the necessary qualification/certifications current at all times.

Will my service with PSCL count for continuity of employment purposes?

No, if you receive an offer of employment with Belgravia Leisure, you commence with us as a new employee. Your service and statutory entitlements such as leave and/or Alt days with your previous employer are not recognised and does not continue with Belgravia Leisure.

Generally speaking, when you cease to be employed with any organisation, you can expect that all statutory entitlements owing to you would be paid to you at the conclusion of your employment with that organisation. You should discuss these matters directly with your current employer.

What is Belgravia Leisure’s pay cycle?

Belgravia Leisure has a fortnightly pay-cycle and your pay is transferred electronically to the personal bank account that you nominate during your onboarding process. You will receive your payslip via the email you supply during this process as well.

From when will I be paid by Belgravia Leisure?

Belgravia Leisure will pay your wages or salary effective from the operational start date of the relevant venue/s in which you are employed. You will be paid for any training hours that you complete with Belgravia Leisure, if applicable.

Will I keep my current rate of pay?

As you will be a new employee of Belgravia Leisure, you will be issued with a new employment contract that will reference your terms and conditions of employment. Any unique terms and the conditions of your employment agreement with PSCL will not apply if you commence employment with us. All relevant terms and conditions will be contained in your individual employment agreement issued by us.

Will I keep my rostered shifts?

Belgravia Leisure regularly reviews its staffing requirements and team member rosters in the context of changing business needs, customer trends and seasonal adjustments.

We will request availability information from successful candidates, and we will always work to arrive at rostering arrangements that meets the needs of staff while always staying true to the needs of the business. It is common sense that team members with flexible availability will enjoy a greater selection of shifts available.

We expect team members to commit to rosters assigned to them to maintain our high standards of customer service. Team members should expect to be scheduled into varied rosters that reflect those needs.

What will happen if I have already “booked” some annual leave for myself to be taken when Belgravia Leisure is my employer?

Discuss these arrangements with us. While we cannot assure that all leave approved by your previous employer will be possible to approve, Belgravia Leisure understands that it is important for staff to take annual leave and will attempt honour leave arrangements where practical and possible.

You will be asked about “booked” leave in the EOI to help us with our workforce planning.

Can I choose to remain an employee of PSCL?

No, for you to be employed at the venue managed by Belgravia Leisure, you will have to become an employee of Belgravia Leisure.

Will I have to sign a new contract of employment with Belgravia Leisure?

Yes. To become an employee of Belgravia Leisure you will have to sign a new Employment Agreement.

Does Belgravia Leisure offer opportunities to work in other sites it manages?

You may choose to apply for career development opportunities that become available from time to time at other Belgravia Leisure facilities in NZ, and even in Australia.

What will happen to me at the end of Belgravia Leisure’s management contract?

Belgravia has entered into a 2-year agreement with Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara with a possible extension of up to 2 years. Your initial employment offer will align with our contract end date and extended if we are awarded an extension to the contract.

Your employment with Belgravia Leisure will conclude at the end of our management period.

Guest Experience Officer (Reception / Slide Operations / BBQ Attendant / General Cleaning)
